Komori Corp is in its 92nd year and Yoshiharu Komori is still as passionate about the print industry as he was when he joined the family business in 1962.
Komori Corp is reckoned to be the third largest printing press manufacturer in terms of turnover.
Yoshiharu Komori at Drupa 2012 had stated that, “I believe the offset printing will continue to be the mainstream of the printing industries. And by collaborating with the digital press printing, we will satisfy the market demands - for the future. Therefore, we continue to believe that offset is going to stay in the industry for a long time.”
Komori’s relationship with the Indian market began quite a while ago. The first Komori press for the Indian market was delivered in 1954. The machine exported was a full-size (37 inch/640 mm) single-colour press equipped with a stream feeder. Now, 60 years since, Komori in India is represented by Insight Communications and Print Solution India. Komori has sold more than 400 units of web offset presses and multicolour full-size and half-size sheetfed presses in the past five years.
Print Summit 2014 saw a turnout of more than 600 participants. The BMPA committee is expecting this year’s Print Summit to be even bigger and better.
