The new machine is equipped with an updated version of the KHS-AI integrated control system, which Komori claims, allows quick print turnarounds, many different printed products, short runs and low cost.
Komori’s representative director and president Satoshi Mochida, claimed that the new press is capable of printing sheets of up to 37-inches in wide and address the full span of requirements in the publishing and commercial printing segments. “The A37 is a compact press, offering a 640x940mm maximum sheet size and can produce A1-size products.”
The 15,000sph machine is capable of implementing colour management by including a CMS colour bar on sheets. Machida said, “This machine is ideal for producing high page-count products with high print quality. The G37’s stable operation is afforded through the automated system with KHS-AI at its core to make it the ultimate high technology machine for outstanding productivity and consistent bottom-line performance.”
Insight Communication represents Komori in India and has had a wonderful run in 2014, claiming to have sold 25 machines by the end of the year. During the just concluded PrintPack India, Insight announced that it has booked orders for 10 Komori presses at the show.
