Sangam Khanna, deputy managing director at Komori India said, we will not be showing any product at the stand, but will show how the GL 40 Advance press is dedicated to producing packaging solutions, and the press’ USP – quick return-on-investment.”

As of date, there are three GL 40 Advance presses installed in India. “Most of these machines are equipped with automation and are based on the Komori AI platform, which reduces the operator skill. The benefit of accurate judgment on operation, lets the machine signals timely alerts most of the vital in enabling easy of operations. This provides higher productivity,” said Khanna.

Explaining how it can help the customer do their print jobs better, Khanna said, the biggest advantage of the Komori GL 40A is that it helps the press owner/ management utilise the resources in productive areas and not wait to solve machine or operations issues. Today registration and colour control for Komori GL series are now left to the AI to take care of,” explained Khanna.

The GL 40 Advance series of presses are available in 2- and 4- to 8-colour configurations. The 750x1050mm size press has a maximum printing area of 710x1,2020mm. It is capable of printing at a maximum speed of 16,500 sph on substrate thickness from ultrathin to thick sheets.

While the GL 40 Advance press will be showcased live from Tokyo, at the stand, Komori will have on display other offerings such as post-press solutions from MBO, H+H and its Apressia paper cutting solutions.
