Konica Minolta introduced KM C71cf web printing press at Labelexpo Europe 2015. The Japanese manufacturers had launched its prototype version in the last edition of Labelexpo.
Toru Sadu of Konica Minolta said, “Since, the last edition of Labelexpo Europe, one of our customers in Portugal is using a beta version and he is happy with the result. We are developing the product and it will be commercially available in the next calendar year.”
For the machine, the company is targeting both label and commercial printers. “It will be helpful for small printing facilities catering to the short-run market,” he added.
Meanwhile, in the middle of 2016, the Japanese digital printing press manufacturing company is planning to launch its most awaited product, KM, the new printing press, which may probably happen at Drupa 2016.
At the expo, Portugal-based Litho Forms shared its satisfactory results about the beta version of the machine and said that it even printed on transparent films and the result was good. According to the company, few advantages including high image quality and high accuracy printing, high-speed printing, easy operability and easy maintenance, highly light-resistant, continuous banner size printing and low running cost.
The printing press is equipped with Hikari-IC 602 controller. It has a speed of 13.5 per minute (18.9m per minute on some special substrate) and resolution is 1200x1200 and web width is 330 mm.
Konica Minolta has three representatives in India – KMI Business Technologies, HCL and TechNova, besides having its own subsidiary. It has installed more than 2,000 presses in the country.
