At Pamex, Konica Minolta is showcasing the new Bizhub Pro C71hc and the new smaller version of Jetvarnish 3D, the Jetvarnish 3DS along with the Bizhub Pro 1060 and 1070.
“The Jetvarnish 3DS smaller footprint than its predecessor, but this format takes in 14.33x40 inches, which fits in to digital space,” said Balakrishnan. “The advantage of the Jetvarnish kit is that it can not only do photo embellishing, but can be used for packaging finishing,” said Balakrishnan. The other kit Balakrishnan is excited about is the Bizhub Pro C71hc.
“According to our estimates, about 30-40% of the photo albums are created using our engines. We have more than 400 printing presses,” he said. The new Pro C71hc, is a product of customer interaction and feedback. “They gave us three important things to work on. One was on the skin tone, second was on shadows, and the third was on the outline,” said Balakrishnan.
“Let’s accept it, the toner is a process and not ink. They just have particles. Whenever you have particles you have a deposition. But thanks to the chemical composition of the toner, we have been able to almost eliminate the outline,” said Balakrishnan.
