“The new C3080 is positioned to tap into the growing mid-production digital print space. As pioneers in this segment, we think this press will also be widely successful,” said SR Vasudevan, regional manager south, Konica Minolta.

The AccurioPress C3080 is said to support auto-duplex banner printing up to 762mm and delivers significantly higher print speeds of 81ppm and 45ppm (both monochrome and colour) for A4 and A3 print jobs, respectively.

The A4 printing speed is said to be consistent at 81ppm for the thickness of up to 216gsm, and at 51ppm for paper thickness between 217 and 350gsm. It has maximum sheet capacity of 15,390 A4 sheets of 80gsm and can support the full range of inline finishing options.

“The reception for Konica Minolta presses has been phenomenal year on year. This reflected in the success we have had in this expo with five printers signing up for the C3080, apart from ten more confirmed orders for our other range of presses,” said Vasudevan.

Dina Digital Prints, a division of Chennai-based Dina Color Labs, was the first company to pick up the new kit followed by Coimbatore-based Infra Cards.

AccurioPress C3080 is said to be equipped with a new colour dual scanner capable of operating at up to 240ipm, along with a double-feed detection kit to avoid scanning two sheets at once. It also comes with the new IQ-501 intelligent quality optimiser. IQ-501 is expected to provide options such as registration, front-to-back alignment, image gradation, density and automated colour adjustments.

One of the prominent stalls at PrintExpo, Konica Minolta also displayed the AccurioPress 6100, 2060, 6136, 71HC and KIP 770.

“We have also set up a sample gallery from the newly installed and much talked of KM-1 press along with print samples produced on MGI JetVarnish digital enhancement presses,” said Vasudevan.
