The company will start shipping the press from December 2017, said Konica Minolta’s Toshitaka Uemura.
The AccurioLabel 190 succeeds Konica Minolta’s first digital label press C71cf. At Labelexpo, Konica Minolta demonstrates the new press to work either as inline finishing solution with the GM DC330Mini or the two devices work standalone. The machine is powered by Konica Minolta’s AccurioPro Label Impose software.
Konica Minolta also announced the milestone of 100 customers in the world for its label systems.
On the MGI front, the company showcased the new digital embellishment press Jetvarnish 3DWed for label and flexible packaging including shrink film. The press boasts about inline flat and 3D spot UV coating, 3D embossed varnish textures and flat and embossed foil effects.
Charles Lissenburg, general manager, professional print division at Konica Minolta said, “Today marks important milestones for Konica Minolta as we accelerate our business developments in the industrial production print markets, with labels a key growth area.”
“We are extremely proud of just how far we have come in a short space of time since entering the labels market. Our digital toner technology is used extensively at customer sites across the globe and is backed by world-class service and support that is provided locally, along with delivery of parts and consumables. Finishing is provided on- or off-line.’
