Kulmeet Bawa appointed as Adobe MD
Adobe, the US-based software giant, has appointed Kulmeet Bawa as managing director for South Asia. Bawa took over the charges from Umang Bedi on 24 June 2016. Bawa will report to Paul Robson, president of Adobe Asia Pacific.

Bawa has been instrumental in accelerating Adobe’s momentum in the Indian market, in particular in the enterprise market, which has seen exponential growth over the past two years. We are confident that Adobe India will continue to grow and deliver the best possible experiences for our customers, under his command.”
Bawa will lead Adobe’s customer-facing engagements in India while Shanmugh Natarajan, executive director for Adobe India and VP engineering, digital media, will continue to provide site leadership to Adobe India with a key focus on important research and development operations.
Bawa has a strong track record of driving enterprise account strategies as well as helping orchestrate business transformation for organisations across industry segments. Before named as managing director, Bawa served as the head of sales for Adobe in India. Prior to joining Adobe in 2012, he served Microsoft India as director of the government and healthcare business. Earlier, he held senior roles at Sun Microsystems, and spent more than twelve years with the Indian Armoured Corps. Bawa is a graduate of the Indian School of Business (ISB) and alumni of the prestigious National Defence Academy (NDA).
Robson concluded, “Our business has transformed over the last five years and our Creative Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Document Cloud businesses are now world-leading. Our customers have responded with enthusiasm to our vision and Umang Bedi led extensive growth for Adobe in India.”
Meanwhile, Bedi, an engineering graduate from University of Pune and alumni of Harvard Business School, has joined Facebook India as managing director.
