The company which is more than 20 years old, focusses on packaging – folding cartons, rigid boxes and corrugated shipping cartons and are specialist in the garment segment catering to global brands in the segment.
“We strongly believe that the Esko’s solutions will help us produce high quality jobs and also improve our efficiency by identifying errors at a very early stage and avoid them as we design the packaging. This is because the tools which are part of the Esko solution follow standards prescribed by international bodies like ECMA and are considerably faster than most other design tools,” said KV Prasad, managing director of Label Kingdom.
Kongsberg V20 works on materials with size 1700x1300 mm and is equipped with a camera system, which ensures print-to-cut registration, even with print-distorted materials.
“Another area where Esko Solutions helps us is in sample making. In our packaging jobs, we invariably face problems both in the design and at the finishing stage leading to lot of wastage in terms of material and press time in the printing stage. Sometimes it even leads to rejection of completed jobs from the customer. The samples from Kongsberg V20 using the actual board that we need to print ensures that we can understand all the problem areas of the design and correct these before we can take the job for production. This greatly eliminates errors thereby helping to reduce wastage and our production efficiency also increases,” added Prasad.
“Our belief is that packaging in India is on a growth path thanks to the continuous introduction of new consumer products such as smartphones and electronic gadgets amongst other things. We look forward to experience the benefits of this growth through the adoption of modern technologies and solutions such as the ones we use from Esko,” concluded Prasad.
