Labelexpo 2018: Sonic Labels receives Flint Group Narrow Web Award

Kapil Vaidya, a partner at Sonic Labels, received the Award from Guillaume Clement, president for Global Narrow Web at Flint Group.

Vaidya said the award-winning label was produced on the Gallus ECS 340 which was installed in April this year. “It was a cosmetic label, printed in nine-colour, a special Pantone gold plus drip-off effects. We used the Flexocure Force UV inks to print the label and the special Pantone gold and drip-off inks too were supplied by Flint. The job turned out exceptionally well, and this Flint Award is a testimony to the quality of the label.”

The eight-year-old Sonic Labels was started by Vaidya and his partner Aditya Ojha.

Sonic Labels is one of the shortlisted companies for the PrintWeek India Label Printer of the Year Award 2018. “We are excited to be nominated. And even if we do not win the Award, though we are hopeful, the nomination itself is a big achievement for a young company like us,” said Vaidya.
