This is the third installation of the inspection machine at the Telangana-based packaging company. Chenga Reddy M, president and CEO, Citrus Packaging, said, “We cater to the pharma industry, which requires critical inspection of labels, including texts of 0.1-pt and 0.5-pt.” 

Erhardt & Leimer is the representative of the ProofRunner for the Germany-based EyeC quality control systems. 

The EyeC ProofRunner claims to give 100% verification, and inspected results which can be easily recognised and also monitor the printing process. It uses a smart-scan camera to continuously acquire an image of the entire web. The computer system is placed in order to identify the labels and track them. 

Citrus Packaging is in the business of self-adhesive labels, tamper-evident labels and adhesive coating solutions. The company wanted to have an 100% inspection system that provides accurate results for labels. “For this purpose, Erhardt & Leimer provides us with the best solution to give us accurate and fast results,” Reddy said. 

The machine is equipped with the camera and the ProofRunner software for high-resolution images; able to detect all kinds of defects.
