With this machine, Dolphin Graphics will focus primarily on the pharma segment, printing on blister and PVC foils, among others.

S Govindaraajan of Dophin Graphics said, “We were traditionally printing using rotogravure technology. Recently, we have seen huge interest in short- to mid-runs in our foils business, because of which we were looking for a digital press. After sampling with all major digital equipment suppliers, we decided to invest in Durst, as its print quality and the total cost of ownership were the best available in the market.”

Selvaraj Venkatesh, managing director of Newgen Printronics, said, “Blister foils produced for the pharma segment need low migration inks, which is a major advantage provided by Durst to Dolphin Graphics, who have bought this machine dedicatedly for this application.”

The configuration of the RSC E machine is 340-mm, seven colours with low-migration inks which has a colour gamut of 95% and light fossilisation above 7. The machine has been supplied with Durst Workflow, Label Plus which aids in auto nozzle compensation for the print heads and will be able to produce at 53-m/min, which can be further upgraded to 80-m/min.

Visitors at Labelexpo India can witness the machine running live at the show.
