Manoj Arora, director of Prateek Graphics said, “We purchased the machine because the samples were great, the price was reasonable, and this press performed much better than its competitors.”
The Epson press has been engineered to optimise productivity and minimise downtime, offering additional print modes of 30-m/min and 50-m/min for faster, high-quality print runs.
Arora said he expects the company's turnover to double within a year as a result of this purchase.
Prateek Metal Industries was established in 1994 in New Delhi. Since then, the company has expanded into a 25,000-sqft facility in Rai, Sonipat. Most of Prateek Graphics' customers are based in India. With over a hundred employees, the company supplies roll-form labels, paper stickers, PU dome labels, vinyl stickers, polycarbonate membrane stickers, and metal plates. The company has a range of digital printers, and now has added the Epson SurePress L-6534VW UV.
The key features of this press include a PrecisionCore line head, versatile substrate support, high-quality output, high productivity, high opacity white ink, inline digital varnish, print monitoring, multiple speed modes, stable operations, easy maintenance, compliance, and durability.
LK Vasudevan of Epson India said, “The primary reason for the customer to consider this machine was that his production has screen printing, which involves a lot of labels and a lot of steps to complete the final product. None of the available digital printing machines could print on polycarbonate. Epson was the only printing machine that could do this. It is a very unique substrate that this company was using for dome labels. He tried printing on polycarbonate on various substrates but nothing was successful. Finally, when he tried with Epson, it worked, which was a key reason for him to choose Epson.”
He added, "The machine also helped him bring down the lead time in terms of supplying from the screen printing jobs to the customer."
