Rotometal is based in Poland and manufactures print cylinders for flexo machines. Agnieszka Przybysz-Andrasz, commercial director at Rotometal, said, “We are here for the first time with our booth. The market is very nice for us. Rotometal has an employee based in Chennai, Thilak Sudakar — the regional sales manager for India.”

One of the company’s innovations is the magnetic cylinder AluLite. This technology features a design that reduces cylinder weight. The AluLite cylinders, particularly those over 120T, can reduce weight by nearly 50%. This enhances operational efficiency and translates into considerable cost savings on transportation and energy consumption.

Rotometal's RotoSleeves eco-sleeves are crafted from recycled and naturally derived materials, including 100% recycled PET. Designed to minimise environmental impact, the RotoSleeves eco offers a sustainable alternative to traditional print sleeves.

In addition, Rotometal is presenting an array of other rotary tooling solutions at the event. This includes magnetic cylinders, print cylinders, print sleeves, sheeters, anvils, bases for sleeve anilox, embossing cylinders, air cylinders, cutting units, gears, and cylinder storage solutions.

New products are in Rotometal’s pipeline, Przybysz-Andrasz said, “We also set up the facility for the composite sleeves which is a part of our strategy. Rotometal has some plans to add more consumables. As you can see we are also into UV inks and varnishes. This is what we would like to build much more strongly.”

When asked about the customer response at Labelexpo India, Przybysz-Andrasz said, “We have had a lot of enquiries from new customers. Let's see what's going to happen. But because Rotometal is known all over the world, we meet some of the customers in different parts. They already know us and come here to find out what's new. Rotometal is providing a lot of new solutions for the customers.”

According to Przybysz-Andrasz, what differentiates Rotometal from its competitors in the industry is that it is a one-source complete solution. She said, “It means that at Rotometal you can buy everything that is needed for the printing. We are the only company that produces hard tooling and composite tooling. And right now the trend in the market is that more and more original equipment manufacturers are producing the machines coming with the sleeves.”

Observing trends in the market, Przybysz-Andrasz said, “Shrink sleeves are coming very aggressively in the market. There is a shorter run of labels right now. So the tools need to be changed much more often.”
