Labelexpo 2024 Stall of the Day: Monotech Systems

One of the standout offerings at the stall was the Jetski KolorSmart+, a UV inkjet label production press designed for short-run label printing. This press enables label printers to produce only the required quantities on demand, eliminating the need for stock maintenance. 

Another notable innovation was the dSpark Hybrid+, a digital label embellishment and converting solution going beyond the standard CMYK configuration. This made-in-India solution supports textured spot varnish, embossed effects, cold foiling, and silk screen effects, catering to advanced label enhancement needs. Available in two models — one for embellishment only and another for converting and finishing — this system operates at a width of 330-mm and speeds up to 35-m/min.

Monotech also presented its variable data printing (VDP) solution, enabling monochrome printing of 1D, 2D, and 3D QR codes, barcodes, sequential numbers, personalised content, custom fonts, and security features.

Additionally, the company highlighted Tracesci, its proprietary track-and-trace anti-counterfeiting solution, catering to the FMCG and pharmaceutical sectors. This solution strengthens brand protection by addressing counterfeit concerns.

Rounding out the display was the Ricoh C7500 sheetfed digital production press, a toner-based solution capable of printing up to 11 colours. Designed for commercial printers and digital printing professionals entering the label printing market, this press offers an entry-level sheetfed label printing option.
