Labelexpo hopes to attract 500 visitors from India

Labelexpo Europe in Brussels is expected to attract a record number of around 30,000 visitors, according to the managing director of Labelexpo, Lisa Milburn.

Labelexpo Europe 2013 is expected to be the biggest show in Labelexpo’s history. The show which will be held at Brussels Expo, Brussels, Belgium from 24-27 September 2013 will be spread across seven halls with an expected footfall of over 30,000 according to the organiser. This year’s show will also show the growth in digital printing and packaging printing technologies, with most number of live demonstrations.

What makes the show exciting from an Indian point of view is, the presence of 15 Indian exhibitors. This includes: Convertech Equipment, Cosmo Films, Creed Engineers, Diehard Dies, Holostik India, Kevin Metpack, Kumar Labels, Mona Equipments, Monotech Systems, Multitec Aids, PBJ, Polyplex, Precise Graphic India, Sheetal Mercantile, SMI Coated Products and UV Graphic Technologies.

In addition, the Label Manufacturers Association of India (LMAI) has committed 65 members who will visit Labelexpo Europe 2013.

Lisa Milburn  said, "With the Indian label and printing industry posting growth rates of 8-9%, which is second only to China’s 10% growth rate, Labelexpo Europe 2013 come at an opportune time for the Indian label and packaging industry. The show will provide great opportunity for Indian label manufacturers and entrepreneurs to see live working machinery, learn about new technologies and meet and interact label manufacturers from different countries and engage in knowledge sharing."

Key launches at the show will include world premieres of digital presses from Screen, Epson, HP Indigo and Heidelberg, new web offset presses from Omet, MPS and DG Services, and new flexo presses from Nilpeter, MPS and Nuova Gidue.

Focus on digital technology is significantly increased this year, with a hall dedicated to just this sector. Also new is an HP and partners-dedicated ‘Print Your Future’ hall showcasing the innovations possible on various Indigo presses.

Other features at the show will include an Inkjet Trail, featuring six inkjet manufacturers producing the same print products for visitors to compare, Package Printing Workshops hosted by Xeikon and Nuova Gidue, and a half-day Digital Masterclass  and the Label Industry Global Awards. 

Milburn concluded, "We had 429 visitors from India to the 2011’s show – up from 338 in 2009. In 2013, we expect this number to further incrase."
