Labelexpo India 2012 opens to a rousing reception in New Delhi

Labelexpo India 2012 which by is being organised by UK-based Tarsus group and Label Manufacturers Association of India (LMAI) opened it gates for the exhibitors today at New Delhi’s Pragati Maidan. With over 200 exhibitors and more than 20 live demonstrations, it’s one of the biggest shows for the label industry in India.

The dignitaries who inaugurated the show consisted of Roger Pellow (director, Labels group of Tarsus group), Harveer Sahni (Weldone Celloplast), Vivek Kapoor (president, LMAI) and the label guru, Mike Fairley among others.

Roger Pellow addressed the visitors before the opening ceremony. He welcomed everyone to the third edition of Labelexpo India and thanked LMAI for their continued support. He added, “The Indian political and economic environment is just right to propel a major boost in the labelling and packaging industry. Foreign direct investment in the retail sector which has been announced recently will bring in the big retail chains, which in turn will result in increased opportunity for label printing industry.”

The four day event will continue till 1 November.
