Acme Rolltech | Stand: H21

During the show, Acme Rolltech will promote its advanced channel engraving (ACE) technology. “The technology helps achieve depths like channel engraving and simultaneously offers expectational halftone printing like hexagonal engraving,” Sandeep Sharma, director of Acme Rolltech, said.

Customers will see this technology at the show, along with samples of ATAC 2.0 (Acme Tactile 2.0) anilox for the screen-type raised effect, which was launched in 2023.

The company is geared to launch several new products which will also be on display, including its AGLIT Acme glitter anilox, a customised anilox for glitter ink/glitter applications; and its ATXR G Acme texture gloss anilox for special texture varnish applications, where customers need special effects like texture, sand effect, rough effect and satin effect.

Acme Rolltech hopes to launch its next-generation engraving technology for conventional hexagon engraving and plans to participate in Labelexpo Mexico 2025. “We believe Labelexpo India 2024 is going to be the testament of our commitment to the Indian printing fraternity of providing high-quality Made in India anilox rolls and anilox sleeves, which are on par or in some cases even better than anilox suppliers in the world,” Sharma added.

Addon FilmTech | Stand: M5

Addon FilmTech’s star product at Labelexpo will be its range of WF-grade PET shrink films. This includes its CSP Grade version, which is compatible with the PET recycling process, and another variant, the RSF Grade, which is composed of 30% PCR, making it a sustainable choice.

PET shrink films are used in the labelling industry where brands use full body coverage and 360-degree design to meet the labelling needs of their product packaging. “With our range of WF-grade PET shrink films, you get the widest application range window, from printing compatibility with all types of printing inks to choosing the primary container which can be made from any materials like PE, PP, glass, PET, metals, among others. The shrink sleeve tunnel can be a steam, hot-air or electric tunnel,” Smit Patel, director of Addon FilmTech, said.

The WF-grade film has already become an ideal choice for all sleeving requirements due to its superior performance and flexibility. Especially when it comes to replacing conventional substrates like PVC, PS and hybrid PS-PETg structures, which were causing trouble to the recycling industry in India. As a shrink film, the product has more than 70% cross-direction shrinkage with a controlled machine-direction shrinkage of less than 5%.

Apart from the WF grade, the company will also showcase its HSP grade, made to cater to the beverage industry, where labels are applied at the end of the packing line sequence. It will also have on display its CSP, its crystalliser-friendly grade, which, when printed with washable inks can be removed during the washing process of PET bottle recycling, eliminating the need to sort labels from the bottles.

Alliance Printech | Stand: E24

Alliance Printech will launch its flagship machine, the Nova A7, at Labelexpo 2024. It is the latest addition to the company’s Nova series (NovaSmart and Nova A5), designed to meet the growing demand for high-specification machines in the Indian market and rising expectations from international customers. The machine boasts dual servo motors on each printing unit, making it a true multi-substrate flexo press. The company will also showcase multi-substrate application samples and debut a new tool for printers, called The Printer’s Friend Diary.

The Nova A7 will be demonstrated live on all four days. It is an inline multi-substrate press designed to print a wide range of value-added products, including labels, shrink sleeves, flexible packaging, lamitubes and mono cartons. It has a 450-mm web width, eight print units, automatic registration control, two die-cut units, online cold foil transfer and combination LED + UV drying systems.

The Nova A7 was developed in response to the success of its NovaSmart press. According to the company, the market's need for increased automation drove it to design the Nova A7, featuring a dual-servo system.

Alliance Printech’s manufacturing facility is located near the Institute of Management & Technology in Faridabad. Spanning over 20,000-sqft, it houses a dedicated manufacturing space, an in-house tool room, quality control systems, stores, and a dust-free air-conditioned assembly area. It also manufactures digital printing web transport systems, high-speed inspection rewinders, thermal paper converting machines, and video plate mounters for flexo machines.

MUST SEE: Apex International | Stand: J42
Apex will highlight its genetic transfer technology (GTT) at Labelexpo 2024. With GTT, printers can adapt to a wide range of printing requirements using a limited set of aniloxes. This results in reduced costs, minimised waste, and maximised label quality. Visitors to the booth will see firsthand how a limited set of GTT aniloxes can handle diverse label printing demands.
“We will also showcase premium samples featuring embellishments produced with our high-transfer aniloxes, a new addition to our product portfolio,” Mangesh Bhise, director of sales for Asia Pacific and the Middle East at Apex International, said. He added that these samples will demonstrate how Apex continues to innovate to meet the high standards of label printers worldwide.
In addition to GTT, Apex will exhibit its UltraCell engravings, designed with ultra-shallow cell geometry for greater ink release and faster clean-up, enhancing productivity.
Apex has also introduced anilox sleeve and roll protection covers to safeguard anilox rolls during storage and handling. These protection covers are specifically designed to shield the edges and faces of the anilox roll from impact damage, reducing the risk of costly repairs or replacements. This addition ensures the longevity and protection of its products.

Arrow Digital | Stand: B30

Arrow Digital is set to display four products — ArrowJet UV, ArrowJet Hybrid Pro+ M, ArrowJet Bolt and ArrowJet VDP.

The ArrowJet UV has added to the possibilities within label design with its white ink capabilities, enabling the creation of labels on both transparent and dark materials. It delivers a maximum resolution of 600-dpi with four to seven colour configurations, including CMYK + white and optional spot colours, making it ideal for printing on transparent, dark, or specialty substrates. It operates at speeds up to 120-feet per minute.

The ArrowJet Hybrid Pro+ M offers a combination of high-speed digital printing and four inline flexo stations, two before and two after CMYK digital, allowing various options such as special effects such as matte and gloss varnish, cold foiling, white and priming inline, all in a single pass, enhancing both efficiency and creativity. Its standout feature is four inline flexo stations for primer, white ink, matte, and gloss varnishes allowing converters to add creative finishes while maintaining efficiency.

ArrowJet VDP is designed for advanced variable data, barcodes, QR codes and security printing, making it ideal for industries that demand secure, traceable labels. The ArrowJet Bolt single-pass water-based pigment, which boasts a speed of 150-metres per minute, will be shown for the first time.

Arrow Digital aims to tackle label converters' problems by handling complex substrates and meeting increasing demands for customisation.

Baldwin Vision Solutions | Stand: D10

Baldwin Vision Systems’ highlight at Labelexpo 2024 will be the UV LED, which was launched at Drupa 2024. The exhibit will include live demonstrations, where its technical specifications will be explained.

According to Raj Rana, sales manager at Baldwin, it is the first time the UV LED market will witness a new type of LED curing system. “Label converters often reduce production speed due to low curing. This curing product can allow printers to run the press at the speed of 200 metres per minute,” Rana said.

Apart from this, Baldwin will showcase a wide range of products at Labelexpo, including the Guardian PQV 4.0, which offers advanced capabilities with beginner-friendly operations. It will also have on display the corona surface treatment which enables the swapping of cartridges with ease, low debris accumulation and a machine designed for widths ranging from 250–900-mm.
