Labelexpo India 2024 preview: Polyart - Soham Technologies

Polyart | Stand: C36
At Labelexpo, Polyart will launch its Deco Range. It will be demonstrated at the company’s stand, and at the Konica Minolta stand. Besides this, converters can witness the range at the HP Indigo stand too.
The Polyart Deco Range is a self-adhesive label stock specifically designed for producing labels for the liquor, cosmetic, perfume, and supplement industries.
This label stock ranges from 83–110-gsm HDPE face stock, with some options; water-based adhesive or deep-freeze adhesive. There is also a release liner ranging between 60–130-gsm depending on the application.
Apart from its Deco Range, the company will also launch a new IML injection moulding range, developed in collaboration with Innovia, from the CCL Group. This will complement Polyart’s blow moulding range. The product will range from 50-microns to 70-microns, but will also be transparent, high gloss and have no orange peel.
Rahul S Engineering Works | Stand: A35
For Rahul S Engineering Works, its star products include flexo print cylinders, magnetic cylinders and video plate mounters, all of which will be demonstrated live at its stall. The company’s flexo print cylinders and magnetic cylinders are made with imported CNC materials and class six grade with teeth grinding. They are also coated with a hard anodising coating to help give the product a long life. It also makes it scratch-resistant.
“Our video plate mounter is an economical option for label converters with high-resolution cameras and a rigid body structure for better sustainability and printing quality,” a company spokesperson told PrintWeek. The firm boasts of having over a thousand customers.
Rahul S Engineering Works will also display its embossing cylinders, removable blade sheeters, anvil rollers, rubber rollers, coating sleeve cylinders, coating rubber sleeves, gears, slitting-cutters and manual rewinders at its stall.
Rotometal | Stand: J49
At Labelexpo 2024, Rotometal will exhibit some new technologies, including the magnetic cylinder AluLite, print cylinder antifriction, RotoSleeves Eco, along other rotary solutions.
One of the standout innovations is the magnetic cylinder AluLite. This technology features a design that reduces cylinder weight. The AluLite cylinders, particularly those over 120T, can achieve a weight reduction of nearly 50%. This enhances operational efficiency and translates into considerable cost savings on transportation and energy consumption.
Rotometal's RotoSleeves eco-sleeves are crafted from recycled and naturally derived materials, including 100% recycled PET. Designed to minimise environmental impact, the RotoSleeves eco offers a sustainable alternative to traditional print sleeves.
In addition, Rotometal will present a wide array of other rotary tooling solutions at the event. This includes magnetic cylinders, print cylinders, print sleeves, sheeters, anvils, bases for sleeve anilox, embossing cylinders, air cylinders, cutting units, gears, and cylinder storage solutions.
Saiden Chemical
At Labelexpo India 2024, Saiden Chemical is set to impress with its innovative range of pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSA). The Japanese manufacturer will showcase both water-based and solvent-based solutions that cater to the unique demands of the tape and labelling industries.
Notably, Saiden's PSAs are engineered for specific applications, such as frozen food packaging, providing exceptional adhesion even in low temperatures. Additionally, the company will unveil its range of removable PSAs, offering strong initial bonding with the advantage of easy clean removal, making them ideal for temporary labelling and packaging.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with Saiden's team of experts, who will discuss how these high-quality products can be tailored to meet various business needs.
Sakata | Stand: L7
Sakata’s UV flexo ink (INXFlex inks and contour inks), UV sheetfed inks (INXCure and Curestar inks) and EB Cure (Gelflex) inks will be demonstrated at Labelexpo 2024.
These products have minimal plate swell concerning all plate-making technologies, including digital and fast-curing photopolymers that are V-pyrol-free. The products also have high gloss with cure with press speeds up to 180-mpm (based on lamp intensity).
Sakata also has liquid inks (gravure and CI flexo) and paste inks (sheetfed, heatset and coldset). It has now started a plant in Panoli, Gujarat to manufacture energy-curable inks.
Shriram Veritech | Stand: H30
