Labelexpo India 2102 concludes with promise of a bigger edition in 2014
Labelexpo India 2012 concluded today with a larger exhibit space and attendance than the previous edition. The show drew 8,049 attendees, up by 33% and featured more than 200 exhibiting companies.

Roger Pellow, managing director for labels group at Tarsus Group, said that 53% of the current exhibitors have already confirmed their participation for the next edition to be held in 2014. “In addition, these companies will also have larger stalls.”
The bi-annual show, organised by UK-based Tarsus group and Label Manufacturers Association of India (LMAI) the show opened to a rousing start on 29 October. The first day of the show drew a huge crowd with one of the exhibitors telling PrintWeek India, that at any given time, there were at least 25 visitors at his stall.
Arets Graphics was one of the first timer exhibitors at the show. Prashant Atre, business head at Arets Graphics, said, “Initially, we were not very keen to participate in the exhibition. However, at the end we managed to book the only available stall and considering the response that we received at the show, we now think our presence here was a blessing in disguise for us. The show was very interesting and fruitful.”
The show was themed – more products, more launches and more live demonstrations’ lived up to its hype with over 20 live working presses being demonstrated. Gallus, Nilpeter and Epson announced the sale of their machines displayed at their stall.
Sanjeev Sondhi, managing director at Zircon, who visited the show, said, "The machinery and the applications showed at Labelexpo this year have been really impressive. In addition to several live presses, the awareness imparted through the demonstration made it an interesting show to spend time at."
Pellow added, “This show with so many label-making and allied machineries participating and the keen interest of visitors to seek information and interaction with them, show that Labelexpo is a much preferred show for the industry, and a platform that will help build a stronger label industry for India.”
