Two of the machines have been sold to Indian printers, who did not wish to be named.
The Crash Lock 1000 is a fully automatic carton folder-gluer suitable for short runs.
“It’s a compact machine and at Euro 100,000 it is a cheap but efficient option,” said Peter Hjalmarson, managing director for Lamina.
The machine can produce up to 75 meters/hour boxes in sizes varying from 65mm minimum flap and a maximum width of up to three meters.
Also on display at the Lamina stand are revamped versions of the SA 1110 semi-automatic and FAS+ 1116 fully automatic laminators and the Glueline 2000. Upgrades include a new PLC to speed up operation and set-up; and a touchscreen for ease of operator use.
“Many packagers still doing laminating and folder-gluing now have an option to automate their operation, thereby saving time cost of glue wastages,” said Hjalmarson.
New Delhi-based SRK Technology represents Lamina. TCPL and PR Packaging are two companies, which have installed Lamina equipment in the last six months.
