“This is for the first time, NPES has declared and honoured such award and also he is the first Indian who has received such award worldwide. It’s a great honour for us as family and also as Indians,” said Sonal Sheth of Sheth Printograph and daughter of HV Sheth.
The award was presented as an appreciation of his ‘vision, leadership, founding IPAMA, and ongoing strategic oversight of the organisation, and legacy of the service to the global printing industry,’ said the citation.
As a founding member and holding the presidency of IPAMA till he passed away, Sheth was the driving force behind the success of PrintPack India 2015. As a testament to his organisational skills, Sheth was elected the president of the Asia Print Association during China Print on 10 May. It was a milestone in IPAMA’s history, confirming the Indian association’s presence in the international printing fraternity.
