Ma Prints is known for its ability to handle single-unit custom products and large-volume productions. The company is located in the heart of Bengaluru, with a factory of 50,000-sqft. Its minimum order quantity (MOQ) is one copy. It delivers single-copy orders numerous times. Guru Prasad of Ma Prints said, “We have witnessed the product’s growth from a single book order to a few thousand which also demonstrates our dedication to the success of every project and the satisfaction of our customers.”
One of the notable projects was the printing of the largest Hindu scripture for Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji of Avadhoota Datta Peetham Mysore in 2017. This project, which set a Guinness World Record, involved printing an 800 kg scripture in 18 languages on 30,560 square feet of poster media, completed in 21 days with eco-friendly technology and a team of 14 people working around the clock.
“We take great pride in our involvement in the English book Raga Ragini Nada Yoga, which delves into the ancient wisdom of music and therapy, from layout to production. This extraordinary project, made possible by a generous opportunity from Avadhoota Datta Peetham and guided by Phanishree, was a fantastic learning experience. The book was not only released at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall, but it also coincided with Sri Swamiji receiving his Doctorate for significant contributions to the field of music. It demonstrates our dedication to excellence and meaningful collaborations.”
Ma Prints acquired a few Bindwel machines a year ago. The performance of the binding equipment has met the company’s expectations. The new machinery has contributed significantly to the efficiency of the publication process, leading to increased productivity. The team adapted quickly to the equipment, resulting in shorter learning curves and improved operational outcomes.
One of the machines the company acquired is the Blue Chip Single Clamp Perfect Binder. This binder is suitable for digital and short-run commercial printing. It has a high-quality gluing system with three roller applications, adjustable nipping pressure, and a milling station with a cutter and dust extractor.
The second machine, the Bindwel Casing-In Machine is designed for the precise insertion of book blocks into finished cases. It uses pneumatic and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) technology for smooth operation and easy maintenance. It is capable of processing 450 books per hour.
Finally, the Bindwel JF 450 AD is a vertical joint-forming machine with full book pressing. It features an auto-delivery system with a PLC program, a vertical design to minimise operational accidents, and adjustable timer and heater settings.
“Without hesitation, we would highly recommend Bindwel binding equipment. Their combination of efficient machinery and good customer service makes them a valuable partner in the publishing industry,” said Guru Prasad of Ma Prints.
