The three-day show, which concludes today, is dedicated to corrugated and folding carton industry. Over 150 raw material manufacturers, machinery, accessories and service suppliers showcased their products and services.

Macart’s Boxjet, which was launched at Pamex 2013, is a high-speed single-pass corrugated sheet inkjet printer capable of printing speeds of up to 30mtr/min. The full-colour printer can handle sheet thickness of up to 50mm and a maximum sheet size of 1.5x3mtr.

Atul Gandhi, managing director at Macart, said, “Our launch of Boxjet was in line with the trend that inkjet has seen in the past two years. We believed that inkjet’s entry in the packaging segment will change the converting ways for short to medium run print jobs, and make it profitable.”

He added, “The overwhelming response we received at the show is testimony to our belief. We will soon be installing the Boxjet kit in many countries in Europe."

Speaking about the suitability of the product for the Indian market, Gandhi said, "India is still not ready for digital revolution in corrugation but still we  have managed to sell one and one is in the pipeline."
