MADOPA celebrated Printers’ Day on 26 February

The Madurai District Offset Printers Association (MADOPA) on 26 February 2016 celebrated Printers Day by visiting an Orphanage and providing essential groceries and stationeries to the inmates that would be sufficient for a month.

The Amutha Akshaya Trust Orphanage in Madurai has 20 children’s, all studying from class 4th standard to 9th standard. During the visit of MADOPA members, the students performed cultural activities in honour of the guests.
 
Saravanan Jeyakarthkeyan, executive committee member at MADOPA, said, “This is the fifth consecutive year that the association is celebrating the Printers Day and like every year, the printers celebrate the day by doing social service.”
 
On 20 December last year, MADOPA hosted a one-day conference – Madopa Print 2020, that focussed on the topic of future of print. Jeyakarthkeyan said, “The conference touched upon the trends in print and the different technologies that are evolving, which hopes to make print business efficient and profitable. There were lots to take away, for the 325 participants which included students from the printing fraternity.”
