Jenil Gandhi, director, Maharshi Labels, said the company is satisfied with the new machine. “There is no doubt that if we have to buy a digital printing machine again, we would choose Pulisi. We are happy with the result thus far. Although print costs are high compared to flexo and cannot be compared, the product works well,” Gandhi said. “We are taking our time to integrate the machine into our workflow. There is a learning curve with digital machines, which makes the process interesting.”

The machine can handle substrates from 30 microns to 300 gsm. It has an automatic printhead cleaning function and the six colours are CMYK, white and orange. It can print on a variety of substrates from chromo paper to films to board. It is good to print even on laminates as well PET. It can print between 45-60 metres per minute depending on the dpi of the product.

Gandhi said the company installed the machine to cater to the needs of customers who need short run orders. “Existing customers required short term orders. The Pulisi machine ensures that we have their orders ready within hours, compared to 3-4 days in usual processes, and that's where we are enjoying the customer satisfaction,” he said.
