The company, which highlighted its label dispensing machines at the show, sold a complete line of labelling machine and shrink sleeve tunnel to a German customer, Megasol.
Dani said, “We had the most successful show this time among all editions of Interpack that we have attended. Besides Megasol, we also have a couple of more orders from UAE and Africa.”
Established in 1980, Maharshi is an Ahmedabad-based manufacturer of labelling machines, shrink sleeve applicator and semi-automatic cartoning machines. The company, today, has more than 10,000 installations with over 75% of the market share.
Dani said, “We were constantly pushed by our customers to enter label printing segment as there was a dearth of label converters in India in early 1990s. Hence in 1995, Maharshi Group started its label printing division. Today, we also have a mono carton division.”
Its clientele include marquee names like P&G, Reckitt Benckiser, Marico, Unilever, Cipla, BASF and Bayer among others.
With an annual turnover of Rs 60 crores, the company’s manufacturing and label converting division contribute equally in the business. Recently, the company has also set-up mono carton division, which is equipped with manroland six-colour coater full UV press, and entire post-press and quality control department under one roof.
