Mahatma Gandhi's great grandson Dr Anand Gokani to be chief guest at the Awards night
Dr Anand Gokani, an endocrinologist and a diabetologist, will grace the fifth edition of the PrintWeek India Awards as the chief guest, which will be held on 2 October at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai.

Dr Gokani, who runs two clinics and is a consultant at the Bombay Hospital, has earned his postgraduate degree course in medicine from the J J Hospital affiliated to the Grant Medical College. His research paper in diabetes has also been published in the Lancet Medical Journal published in the UK. Dr Gokani has also conducted several seminars, lectures and workshops on subjects such as stress management, diabetes in all its forms, alternative medicine, nature cure, and at times subjects like hope, faith, solitude, ageing and a host of other issues. He has also conducted youth camps for Cathedral And John Cannon School and Villa Theresa School.
Recently Dr Gokani has been appointed the trustee of Bombay Medical Aid Foundation with which he has been associated for several years.
On the Award night, an august line-up of big-name print VIPs will attend the evening. Besides applauding Performance Awards and Quality Awards winners, the room of 350 persons will be celebrating print on Gandhi Jayanti.
The Awards will also be aired on NDTV Profit. The network will devote 50 customised pre-event and pre-telecast promos of 20 seconds each prior to the event; and a half an hour original and repeat telecast post-event.
