Mail Order Solutions is first in Mumbai to be ISMS certified

Mehul Desai, chairman at MOS, said, “This is a strategic business objective and a key milestone for us. With increasing number of managed security service business, this ISO certification was a logical step.”

When this correspondent was seated at the MOS office for an interview, Mehul Desai explained the importance and the time taken for the certification process to his international client. He was explaining to the client, that MOS is capable of safe handling of the data which is supplied to them.

Desai said, “We have profound knowledge of direct marketing and understanding the importance of and sensitivity of customer data. We have been handling this for the last 13 years and this certificate validates our efforts and makes it official that we treat our client’s data, artwork and intellectual property with the highest level of care. The certification process took eight months to complete and has 143 checkpoints to follow.”

The initial audit which was done by Mumbai-based BDO Consultancy and the final auditing was conducted and certified by TUV SUD Management Service from Germany. The ISO 27001:2005 certificate is valid for three years. The entire certification processes costed MOS, more than Rs one million.
