Sundar Salian, the founder and proprietor of Mangala Art Printers, said, “Heidelberg presses are top notch in quality and performance and our Speedmaster XL 75 surpasses expectations. It is a great return on our investment, already attracting more clients and orders.”
The commercial and packaging printing firm was established in the year 1979 by Salian who has had nearly two decades of printing experience. Commercial printing accounts for 80% of the business at Mangala Art Printers, while packaging jobs contribute the rest. “Since we are into both commercial and packaging printing, the Speedmaster XL 75 is an added advantage helping us cater to both segments," said Salian.
Mangala Art Printers was put up with a two-treadle press and a cutting machine. In 1983, the company invested in a used four-colour press, which happened to be the first of its kind in Bengaluru. “With the latest installation, Mangala Art Printers is now a one-stop print shop with a state-of the–art of equipments”, said Salian.
Designed for the 605×745 paper format, the Speedmaster XL 75 has the shortest make-ready times, and production speeds of up to 15,000 sheets per hour. The autoplate feature of the Speedmaster XL 75 facilitates plate changes, while the ink data is transferred from the Suprasetter A106 CTP.
The Suprasetter A106 CTP can process 18 plates per hour with plate formats ranging from 370×323mm to 930×1,060mm. According to Salian, Suprasetter A106 offers exceptional smart plate handling. Equipped with unique thermal laser technology developed by Heidelberg, the plate-setters are almost totally protected against production failures by the Intelligent Diode System (IDS).
Apart from this, Mangala has also installed the Prinect workflow solutions, Prinect pre-press manager and Prinect press room manager to ensure fully automatic processing of print jobs, by significantly simplifying and accelerating pre-press tasks.
“With the addition of Heidelberg print solutions, we are now an all- inclusive print shop, providing a complete range of print solutions to our customers,” concluded Salian.
