Manik Mittal, the second-generation of the family-owned packaging printing business said, “We have established the new plant to combine our print production of three separate plants in Faridabad,”
These plants were previously running independently. Now, the company has started moving the machines from these plants to new plant in shifts so that production isn’t hampered.
The ground floor is equipped with six offset printing presses and other heavy machineries. The first floor is equipped with quality assurance and quality check labs, office and admin area and the second floor is equipped with the corrugation unit.
“It took three years to complete the plant, from acquisition of the land to produce the print products,” Mittal said.
He added, “We are among the few printers in the region who has a 44x64-inch printing press. We are planning to make it an UV-enabled printing press. In the new plant, we have added a CTP and a new folder-gluer Bobst Novafold 110 A2 with 4&6 corner attachment. The folder-gluer has arrived and it will be installed soon. The rest of the machines have been shifted from our existing plants.”
From the earlier plants, the company served the electrical industry. Now with the new plant, it will target new segments as well.
“FMCG is on our radar. We produce mono cartons, E-flute & B-flute corrugated boxes and multicolour offset printed corrugated boxes. Our first priority is to establish the new plant and later on we will focus on diversification,” he said.
