Hemu Ramaiah is the managing director of Shop4Solutions, a retail consulting business focused on retailing, real estate and private equity. She has been a game-changer in the retail and distribution arena ever since she started her entrepreneurial journey as the founder and CEO of the Landmark chain of book and leisure stores. After witnessing sustained growth over two decades, Landmark was acquired by Trent, the retail arm of Tata Group.
Commenting on the value Hemu Ramaiah would impart, Gautham Pai, the managing director of MTL said, "Ramaiah has always been a trend setter in design, technology, concept and innovation which are also the drivers propelling MTL’s exponential growth in printing of books, banking cards, besides digital and payments system."
Earlier in the year, when Pai had won the Lifetime Achievement Award from Mumbai Mudrak Sangh, he had said, "We started looking at providing services and solutions to cater to the industry in a holistic manner and create value."
And so, in 2011, we rechristened Manipal Press to Manipal Technologies to represent the range of technologies deployed in its offerings. The corporate renaming was to ensure that our continued business growth is aligned to meet emerging and evolving needs of our customers across the globe and balanced with profit to create lasting impressions for the development of society.
