What according to you is the print technology for the future? Also who is your role model in the graphic art industry?
Nitin Garg
NBG Printograph
“The future is digital. India has to start offering solutions to the customer instead of merely highlighting the usp of a product. My sense is, digital will rule the game. As regards a role model, I feel autoprint in coimbatore is doing fantastic job.”
YP Taneja Precision
Graphic Engineers
“We are increasing 15% of our turnover every year. The main thing is, we want to maintain it. In spite of all the doom and gloom, sheetfed offset has a great future. I feel, non-woven bag is a solid growth area. My role model is me. I inspire myself.”
Ashok Singh
Samnik Graphic System
“We do not fix anything since everyday is a new year for me. We are improving all the time. That is what makes the print industry such a fascinating place. I have admiration for Manugraph.”
Aditya Gupta
KK Printing
“2014 will be stagnant and oriented towards service. More automation has come into place because the manufacturers of automatic products are offering good prices, which they did not offer earlier. Indian printers can look at cost saving and roi on those products. I idolise my father, Sanjay Gupta.”
Amarpreet Singh
Falcon Pumps
“We are looking at a healthy growth of around 30% in the coming year. The future will see a lot of work in centralised vacuum systems as far as vacuum pumps are concerned. A company whose trajectory that i keenly follow is APL Machinery in Faridabad.”
Shafiq Ahmed
Sahil Graphics
“We are working for around 25% increment in our sales as well as the number of machines which will be installed in 2014. We will be launching new product and it is a secret. When we annnounce the news, Printweek India will be the first to be told.”
CP Paul
APL Machinery
“We are looking at 50% growth in 2014. We are improving our manufacturing because there is a market for our range of kit. I feel, UV will be in demand. In fact we are celebrating this year as a UV print year. We will be starting UV print yatra all over india from april onwards. As regards my inspiration, it is TechNova.”
Satish Bajwa
Pressline India
“2013 disappointed us. We are hopeful about 2014. We are working on paper wastage control and downtime of the machine. These are tough times. That is why we have to focus on ourselves. Which is what we hope to do at Pressline.”
Jaspreet Singh Kalsi
Kalbro Pumps
“We will be launching an eco-friendly and trouble-free vacuum pump for the print industry. This is the only way for the turnover to go up. In this sense, the energy saving Kalbro Pumps is a solid product for the Indian printer. For me, TPH is an ideal company – and their raft of web-offset machines are top class.”
Naveen Gupta
Prakash Webtech
“We have increased our manufacturing and assembling capacity. At the moment, we are looking at the marketing part. Web-offset printing presses have a good future in india. Today, I would like to visit The Times of India plant in Navi Mumbai and the Manugraph factory in kolhapur. This will enable us to set a benchmark.”
