Attending the LMAI event for the first time, during the LMAI Conference, which was held at Jaipur from 16 to 18 July 2015, Gavin Rittmeyer of Martin Automatic shared with the audience the tricks to attain profitable sustainability. For this, according to Rittmeyer, the key is the partnership between printers and suppliers, as both make each other. As long as this partnership works, it will deliver results.
Established more than 47 years ago, Martin Automatic enjoys more than 8,000 installations in more than 50 countries. “We always work on no-cost or low-cost business model. According to us, profitable sustainability is a perfect marriage between social responsibility and business,” Rittmeyer added.
He said, the stakeholders would have to find ways to do things in a better way. “We have to opt for new ideas to reduce waste, and we have to opt for automatic solutions,” he said.
He also exhorted LMAI to take up a similar role as FINAT and Tag and the Label Manufacturers Institute (TLMI) play in the US.
Martin Automatic is best known for its extensive line of automatic splicing unwinds, automatic transfer rewinds and tension control systems. It also offers a broad range of converting and deposition processes. These include processes related to printing (gravure, offset, flexographic and ink jet), spray, dye extruded and solid polymer application technologies.
