MCCIA organises a workshop on packaging

The Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) has organised a workshop titled as Packaging for International Business at MCCIA, Senapati Bapat Road, Pune on September 12.

The faculty members for the workshop are R B Soundalgekar, leading consultant and faculty member for flexible packaging; Tushar Deshpande, managing director, Aditya Packaging and Consulting Services; and Sagar Rasal, director, Edutech, leading consultant in bar-coding and RFID.

According to MCCIA, packaging does the job of marketing of the product 24x7. In today’s highly competitive and complex international business environment, it is really necessary to know more about international standards for packaging, environment rules, treatment required for wooden packaging etc.

The course contents include packaging concepts and principles of packaging for primary packaging materials, corrugated boxes, flexible packaging materials and secondary packaging. Also, international standards for wood treatment; bar-coding and numbering concepts; containerisation; and basics of food- and pharma-packaging will be covered in the workshop.
