Medha Virkar and Amila Singhvi to receive OutputLinks’ Women of Distinction award
Indian women print CEOs are resilient, lively and spirited, and sometime aggressive. They are committed to making their print business successful overcoming all challenges, and often contribute to the lives of socially challenged. Medha Virkar and Amila Singhvi were selected for Outputlinks' Women of Distinction Award for their industry experience, leadership skills and extensive participation in the industry.

Medha Virkar is partner at Mumbai-based Kaleido Graphics while Amila Singhvi is managing director at Okhla-based International Print-o-Pac. The two along with eight other graphic communication professionals, from around the world, will be honoured during the Electronic Document Scholarship Foundation’s Give Back@Graph event at Graph Expo 2014 in Chicago on 30 September, 2014.
Women of Distinction is one of the recognition programs from the OutputLinks Communication Group. Through its programs, the OutputLinks Communications Group identifies, promotes and celebrates extraordinary leaders.
Julie Plata, co-CEO of the OutputLinks Communications Group, said, “It’s such an honor to recognize these stellar women – a unique league of high-profile professionals – and highlight their contributions to the global graphic communications community. We launched this program 13 years ago to honour women making an impact on the industry, and we feel privileged to share their successes.”
An elated Virkar, said that it's an honour to be acknowledged by an organisation which has been carrying on the noble work of awarding scholarship to students consistently over the last 12 years. “I see it as an encouragement to me and as also recognition to my work at the print association through which I get a chance to give back to this industry.”
Singhvi too felt honoured and privileged to be included in the Women of Distinction list. “It feels special for two reasons. The first reason is that this recognition is international, offered to a select group of women professionals across the globe. Secondly, it will hopefully encourage other women to join our industry and promote Graphic Arts as a viable career option."
The Women of Distinction program is commemorated with an annual US$5,000 university scholarship, funded by the OutputLinks Communications Group Scholarship Program and administered by EDSF, the non-profit foundation dedicated to the document management and print communications industries.
Each year’s scholarship recipient is selected from students focused on a Document Management or Graphic Communication career and nominated by current and past Women of Distinction honorees.
