Media Expo 2012 closes curtains with healthy visitor turnout
The Delhi edition of Media Expo 2012, which closed curtains on 6 July, saw the advertising and signage solution providers come together for the three-day event and witnessed a footfall of 19,365 visitors,

The exhibition, which has completed 10 years of existence, was inaugurated by Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy CM, Punjab and Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, Member of Parliament.
Around 150 exhibitors, spread in three halls of Pragati Maidan, included big names of the wide format industry such as HP, Epson, Mimaki, Roland etc. The obvious bigwig missing from the list was Oce. Media Expo was held concurrently to two more exhibitions, Gift Expo and Office Expo – both organised by Media Exposition & Events.
Mehta Cad Cam, Negi Sign Systems, HP and few others had grand stands with over 130 live machine demonstrations. Sublimation and transfer printing service providers too had participated in good numbers. Mehta Cad Cam showcased its fleets of engravers and solvent wide format printers at its stands, while Agfa exhibited along with its distributor Siare Technologies.
Mimaki exhibited its indoor and outdoor signage grand format printer SWJ 320 S2. HP was at the show to showcase various innovative ideas which can be executed utilising its latex printing technology. Dhirendra Khurana, business development manager, sign and display business – HP, said, “We exhibited with the primary objective of showing the power of latex printing technology which HP has been spearheading.” The HP stand was sliced into three differently-themed sections; each showing various things printed using the latex printing technology.
Indian distributor of Mutoh wide format printers, Negi Sign Systems and Supplies booked two orders during the show. Kota-based Ainan Enterprises booked a Mutoh Valuejet 1604 single head wide format printer to support the growing market of signage in Kota. Navneet Nagar, owner, Ainan Enterprises said, “Kota has been emerging as a strong market for signage in the last five years. We wanted to tap this growing market with an economical yet powerful machine, hence we opted for Valuejet 1604.”
Next Media Expo (Delhi) will be held from 27-29 July, 2013. Media Expo Mumbai and Media Expo Kolkata are scheduled for 15-17 February and 26-28 April, respectively.
