Roland DG’s president Kohei Tanabei, Takafumi Shigenoya, Tony Miller, and Madhu Sudan Dadu were on the panel for an interactive session discussing the developments poised to redefine the sector providing a deeper understanding of how these developments aligned with industry trends.
“The reason that I have visited India is to celebrate Apsom’s 30 years in the company and to comprehensively understand the vision of the country so we can benefit from our collaboration. We want to provide high-added-value solutions in a healthy and sustainable way,” said Tanabei.
Dadu highlighted that India is the right market for Roland products. “We are at the cusp of a high growth market and have taken initiatives like Print Innovation Summits, Prismo and simply forging our alliance to grow,” he said.
Kevin Jubb drew attention to the need for both marketing and technology as two wheels working together to achieve value. “Working with Apsom will lead us to expand a lot of applications for our fellow customers,” he added.
Tony Miller stated that it was unlikely that digital signage would replace print. “I believe that there is a synergy between the two. Digital doesn’t replace print, but it adds value to the print. Print offers a great deal of versatility,” he said.
The panel discussion was followed by questions by the members of the press and the unveiling of Roland ER641 high productivity and vivid quality eco-solvent printer and the MO-240 flatbed UV printer.
