James Johnson, new business manager, Roland DG (UK), said, “The TrueVis VG and SG series are the latest equipment from Roland. The TrueVis VG has the new and vibrant TrueVis ink. It also has fast-drying inks in 500cc pouches with reusable holders.”

On the other hand, TrueVis SG series is an integrated printer and cutter.

At its stall, Roland also showcased Soljet EJ-640, VersaExpress RF-640A, and VersaUV LEF–300.

Johnson said the market has been good and the company has been seeing a steady increase in growth. Looking ahead, he said flexibility in printing banners and vehicle wraps will be an opportunity for the wide-format industry in 2017. The UV market will also see a visible growth.

Coming back to Roland, Johnson said the company’s machines are reliable and strong. “Our machines do their jobs from the first print. The best part of a Roland machine is the ease of use. I can teach you how to print using a Roland machine in an hour,” Johnson added.

Talking to PrintWeek India at the show, Joe Wigzell, academy and creative centre manager, Roland DG (UK), stressed on the fact that if a customer wants the latest then they need to invest in the best. He saw textile and UV as the biggest opportunities for the future.

Attending Media Expo for the sixth time, Wigzell said the experience has been good for Roland. He added that in 2017, the company is focusing more on training about equipment and how to use them, besides product development.

Deborshi Choudhury, head of sales, Apsom Infotex, said, “We’re very excited about launching a whole new range of print-and-cut machines at Media Expo. We have new technologies for all businesses, from printers looking to enter the industry to those who need that extra production power that lets them increase their businesses offerings even more.”
