Sachin Dev Sharma, head of projects, Messe Dusseldorf said “Over the past two decades the Indian economy has been gaining ground at a dizzying pace. According to the OECD, the per capita income has doubled in just eleven years. Products which just a few years ago were regarded as typically ‘Western’ are now omnipresent in the cities and create an appetite for convenience food – not yet everywhere, but increasingly often. “

“We also believe that with FDI in retail coming into the picture, the packaging industry is going to receive a major boost. International PackTech India will be a great platform for the printers, converters, manufacturers and brand owner to gauge the potential of the packaging industry, he added

Reifenhauser, Erhardt + Leimer (India), Hilda Automation, Kris Automated Packaging, Uflex and Robatech are some of the exhibitors at the show. Many companies will also showcase their colour additives and other allied machineries.
