Validating Ravi Kiran’s words, the print firms from tier 2 and tier 3 cities participated in numbers and won many awards at the recently concluded PrintWeek India awards. This includes: Manipal Technologies bagging the PrintWeek India Company of the Year.

Others top Awards went to: Replika Press (Manesar), Prabhat printing Works (Pune), Marvel Graphic Studio (Ahmedabad), Excel Sign Solutions (Valsad) and Hitech Print Systems (Vijaywada) were the winners from tier 2 and tier 3 cities at the awards.
The really positive out of the awards was the numbers of entries that were received from these towns and even more heartening to see so many of them being short-listed for the awards. Almost all the performance and quality categories had at least one short-listed entry from a tier 2 or tier 3 cities.
Ravi Kiran had said during the Conclave, “The ambition gap is narrowing between tier one, two and three cities. Entrepreneurs in Middle India are craving the competition. Something is cooking there that’s why the Middle India is on everyone’s radar.”
The printing establishment is also mirroring the growth of Middle India and this will hopefully lead to a more competitive and vibrant industry. This epitomised by a firm like whose factory at Pedaavutapalli, near Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh is capable of delivering world-class VDP and Transpromo solutions.
