Addressing the signage sector, Mimaki will show variants of UCJV300 printers. First introduced in September last year, the UCJV300-160 is claimed to have low running costs, and its instant dry ink allows printing to a wide range of materials, including PET film, fabric and heat sensitive media.

Ronald van den Broek, general manager sales at Mimaki Europe, said, “Following the success of the product, Mimaki has announced three new smaller models: UCJV300-75, UCJV300-107, and UCJV300-130, with print widths of up to 80cm, 109cm, and 136cm respectively.”

All three additional models will feature Greenguard Gold certified LUS-170 inks. “New ID-Cut function will enable trouble-free automatic cutting of consecutive jobs via barcode,” added van den Broek. Machines are capable of four-layer day and night printing which are used for backlit applications.

For industrial markets, Mimaki will display its range of LED UV flatbed printers for the A3- and A2-format machines and the large format of JFX200-2531 which has a print area of 2.5x3.1m. “Various possibilities will be demonstrated, including direct printing on 360-degree surfaces and print-and-cut workflow in combination with cutting machines.”

Visitors to the Mimaki stand will be able to watch both sublimation transfer and direct-to-textile printing. For the textile segment, Mimaki is set to display the Tiger-1800B, a textile printer for industrial level and for high volume production. The Tiger-1800B delivers print speeds of up to 385m2/hour.

In the 3D segment, it will demonstrate the 3DUJ-553 3D printer. van den Broek said, “Considered to be the world’s first 3D printer capable of producing more than 10 million colours, the machine jets and instantly UV-cures successive fine layers of liquid photopolymer to create one or several models or parts.”

“Fespa is definitely a show not to be missed in 2018 and we are proud to be playing such a significant role,” van den Broek concluded.

Fespa Berlin is scheduled from 15-18 May 2018.
