Mumbai Mudrak Sangh (MMS) in collaboration with Cyber Alchemist has launched http://worldprinthub.com web portal site, a free service which will provide a common platform to meet the day-to-day printing needs of the printing packaging industries

The new initiative was inaugurated virtually on 26 January 2021, India’s Republic Day, is part of the MMS expansion programme to bring together global leaders in the print industry and support each other towards future enhancements and augmentation in the digitalisation of the industry.

Industry stalwarts like Gautham Pai of Manipal Technologies, Ramesh Kejriwal of Parksons Packaging, Bimal Mehta of Vakil & Sons and Pranav Parikh of TechNova shared the virtual stage to support the initiative.

Pai said it’s a fantastic initiative which will let newcomers to the printing industry seek seamless access to the community, the rich experience that exists, gather knowledge and form new ideas. The exchange platform as a marketplace for business development – buying or selling, is a great idea. “And the world will come together to bring efficiencies, cost optimisation and new technology.”

Kejriwal said, this is a great initiative where communication will help the entire printing fraternity, to take it to the next level in terms of their understanding of business technology and market. “I wish you all the best and look forward to being a part of this, going forward.”

Mehta said that one of the lessons from the pandemic is the need for collaborations and partnerships, the need to reach out to experts and finally the necessity for fellow entrepreneurs to come together to address common issues. “The MMS portal, the Worldprinthub, is a wonderful initiative to bring together the printing industry in addressing common problems, and a great platform for sharing ideas.”

Parikh congratulated the MMS for the excellent initiative. He said, the web portal has a contemporary design, and provides for a very easy, intuitive navigation system. It has several excellent features, such as a knowledge repository and advisory consisting of global experts, an online learning management system, and a unique feature, the print doctor. “I am convinced that the industry will find it unique and it should be extremely valuable for creating an interactive cyber community.”

  • It will offer different services to its community members starting with an online stream of communications on industry topics in the form of Multimedia Posts. 
  • The portal also has a library, a repository of knowledge which can crowdsource interesting and informative and futuristic content. 
  • It will put together a global advisory group of experts  in different subjects related to printing who can help our members access expertise in areas like technology, legal, commercial, and taxation.
  • Learning is an important area for community growth. There is a section dedicated to  learning with our learning management system to support asynchronous learning where different training programs will be recorded and available to members on-demand access.
  • The portal allows the creation of different groups (public, private sector) where members can come together in smaller numbers and have focussed discussions. 
  • The entire print industry is undergoing right-sizing and businesses have required to lay off people and perhaps hire new set talent more appropriate to the current business requirements. Keeping this in mind there is a job section on the portal
  • The most important function of the portal is to offer a marketplace where manufacturers and suppliers of print equipment and consumable can post their product information and seek leads and even transact business. This will be supported by a knowledge repository of different types of estimators and calculators of activity costs.
  • Lastly, it will offer the services of “Print Doctor” which will be available to address issues of the members and gain the wisdom of senior members.
