Monotech System’s digital enhancement and finishing division is upbeat about the Scodix S75 at the Pamex stand. The kit after the show is headed for a print site near Hyderabad.
“The level of accuracy, stability and quality that Scodix delivers make for a fascinating digital effect,” said Amritpal Singh Bawa, head of digital enhancement and finishing division at Monotech Systems.
Monotech has a total of 19 Scodix installations, 15 of which are S75 model and four are S74 model. “There are three more in the pipeline, excluding the one that’s going to a place near Hyderabad,” said Bawa.
The Scodix S75 can lay up to a 250-micron dot on a sheet with minimum sizes of 11x11.5inch to a maximum size of 20x29.5inch and a full gloss coat at 30-microns. Scodix is capable of producing 550 sheets per hour on substrates like paper, PVC, plastics ranging from 135gms to 675gsm.
“The Scodix combines well with a whole range of sheets printed on offset or digital to produce interesting possibilities,” said Bawa.
