Monotech installs first Jetsci ColorNovo in China, next in India

Jimit Mittal, vice president, inkjet products and solutions declined to name the company citing NDA, informed PrintWeek India that the kit installed is a CMYK UV inkjet press. Mittal further informed that the second installation will soon be at one of the leading label manufacturer and supplier in West India. “The machine will be installed on the company’s existing flexo label printing machine.”

Launched at the Labelexpo India in 2016, ColorNovo is a hybrid solution that can be installed on the existing flexo press or converting lines or CMYK + white digital UV inkjet label press with complete converting and finishing of labels as a standalone solution.

Monotech’s inkjet solution Jetsci, Mittal claimed has been delivered to 100+ projects. The latest, and its first JetSci iMCR inkjet system at one of the leading security printers in South India. “ColorNovo is India’s first digital label production system and is our most innovative solution to the industry designed and developed in-house under brand Jetsci. It is the result of our expertise and in-house R&D efforts and developed after extensive research on the requirement of such press in the market. With ColorNovo , we are sure it will deliver to the expectation of customers be it in terms of Capex, Opex and total cost of ownership giving fastest return on investments,” said Mittal.

The ColorNovo 330mm width DOD inkjet press is capable of printing high-quality labels at 600x 600 dpi native resolutions at a speed of up to 70 m/min.

According to Mittal digital is the future so are the digital presses. “It delivers the convenience of printing short runs very effectively and economically with great value addition features like personalisation, variable data and security printing in real time production at one go.” He added,”Digital printing is far economical till the run length of 2000 linear meters and most of the jobs are going under this run length nowadays.”

Monotech manufactures the Jetsci brand of presses at its facility in Gurgaon, Haryana.
