Monotech introduces Massivit’s large scale 3D printing in India
As foreseen by the diviners of 3D printing future, the technology is getting bigger and faster. New technologies and new companies are making it possible to 3D print objects more quickly and at larger scales than previously possible. Sensing the trends, Monotech Systems has brought Massivit 3D to the Indian market, who is shaping the future of super-size printing. In marketing segment, 3D in general is not common and no one even talks about that. Massivit 3D actually brings the ability to do that. A lot of the creation of sculptures and designs for advertising is still done manually with foam, so it has never really become a common thing for advertising. But because 3D printing is a digital process and because it is a distributed manufacturing, it allows for a lot of personalisation and localisation, which are important in advertising and promotion. With this technology 3D printing will actually create the ability to do that and to use such parts that were not commonly used before at all.
The flagship product in offering is Massivit 1800, a super-fast large format 3D printer. The Massivit 1800 is set to transform the way high-level marketing, advertising and themed projects are created. With output speeds incomparable to anything else in the 3D printing industry, the Massivit 1800 printer can produce high quality 3D pieces up to 1.8m/ 6ft high. Print providers seeking to dramatically extend their product portfolio beyond 2D pieces, now have access to a profitable new and unique application capability, and an important business differentiator to enhance their competitive edge and secure their future.
Tej Prakash Jain, managing director, Monotech Systems, said, “For print providers, the Massivit 1800 dramatically enhances the ability to create eye-catching added-value visual communications that better engage target audiences.”
With recent studies suggesting that 3D advertising has five times the stopping power and four times the staying power of 2D advertising, Jain said, it is clear why this is the technology for sign and display applications. “We are already a leading manufacturer of signage machineries over 1,500+ installations and it will be our pleasure to offer something unique to our customers apart from regular products,” he added.
The Massivit 1800 system is the fastest large format 3D printer available on the market. At the heart of the solution is the company’s proprietary GDP (Gel Dispensing Printing) technology that enables instant solidification and high-speed printing. The Massivit 1800 printer also utilises techniques that allow it to print non-vertical walls and ceilings, without the need to produce a solid object or intensive support structure. So in printing less to achieve the same result, the Massivit 1800 is able to dramatically increase print speed, while also reducing material costs and product weight – crucial for additional materials handling, transportation and storage benefits.
