The younger brother of Manoj Mehta, Mukesh-bhai is survived by daughter Saloni, son-in-law Bhavik and a grandson.
Deeply sadened by his younger brother’s demise, Mehta said that the better half of their print business has departed. “He was instrumental in us winning all the national and international awards. He was the man liked not only on the Utility’s print floor but off it too. People who worked with him will never forget him for his contribution towards UV printing.”
Mehta and Mukesh-bhai founded Utility Printpack in Mumbai in 1991 before moving the plant to Ahmedabad. Over the next few years, Utility Printpack became one of the formidable packaging companies in India. The company was later acquired by Manipal Technologies and is today Manipal Utility Packaging Solutions.
Narendra Paruchuri, chairman of Pragati Offset in a condolence message said it’s very sad that Mukesh-bhai is no more. “He has gone away so quickly. It is painful to lose him. With him goes a lot of print knowledge. Actually few in the world would know so much about UV printing."
The family has organised a prayer meeting on Thursday, 1 November 2018 at Aangan Classic Hall, Off Tilak Road in Borivli West, Mumbai between 5 pm to 7 pm.
