Mumbai-based Rutvij Printers, which specialises in patient information leaflets, has invested in Pratham’s Ipv Proofcheck software in a bid to reinforce its quality and ensure “zero defect” supplies to its customers.
Bipin Kudtarkar, CEO, Rutvij Printers, said, “When you are catering to the pharmaceutical sector, there’s zero tolerance when it comes to text and printing defects on inserts, outserts and packaging. A missing dot can be catastrophic.”
“I wanted to reduce the manual touch points in the workflow and reduce dependency on labour. That’s when I came across Pratham’s Ipv Proofcheck software. One, it is developed in India. Having the software developer close to you is an advantage in terms of your requirements. Two, it’s PDF-to-PDF and PDF-to-Scan modules suit our specific requirements of quality and consistency.”
Kudtarkar conducted rigorous trials on the system before making an investment decision. “It is important to evaluate the ease of use of the software and also look at different scenarios that you may come across in the course of time. The software was able to pass our tests.”
The deal was inked at the CPhI exhibition in Mumbai.
Anil Madule of Pratham said, “The software conforms FDA 21 CFR Part 11 rules. It checks digital data pixel by pixel to detect incorrect colour sequences, missing dots, spots or shadows It will help Rutvij Printers assure 100% accuracy to its customers.”
