This is the first EFI H1625 LED UV inkjet printer installed by Arrow Digital, which represents the machine in India. The installation was completed four months back.
D'Signs Workspace Innovations’ core business is providing design solutions for corporate interiors. “We provide end-to-end services right from designing until implementation. We do corporate branding, signage and a lot of highlighting work from the interior space but only for corporate offices,” Srinivas Racha, director at D’Signs told PrintWeek India. The company converts about 15,000 to 20,000 sq/ft of media every month.
Racha said the new investment is the result of the company’s quest to offer better quality to its customers. “We were not really happy with what we were providing to our customers. We wanted to give more. Some seven years ago, such an investment was huge for us. So we settled for Jetrix, which fulfilled our requirements. With more international customers, and with their expectation from us in terms of quality and deliverables, we needed to deliver more quantities with the same quality. It was time to upgrade from Jetrix to EFI,” said Racha, adding, “When we thought about UV printing platform, we always thought about EFI.”
Racha said as white is the most-used colour in UV, the company plays around with white and CMYK to create amazing design graphic on glass. “We use this platform mainly for glasses where white actually plays a major role. No other machine can really offer the quality and depth which EFI provides,” he said.
The company is using the machine mainly for interior graphics segment and Racha said the company is looking at one year as return on investment.
With a 1,000 sq/ft area of printing set up, the company also owns an HP Latex 360.
Established in 1996, D'Signs has employee strength of 50.
