Aakash Jethmalani of PlateLabs said, “Looking at Nippon’s installation base and Cron’s brand image, it was a relatively easy decision to choose the Cron CTCP model UVP4664G+I+.”
He added that the company has seen the rising demand for digital printing plates because CTP systems have higher accuracy and productivity than conventional systems.
PlateLabs, a pre-press solution provider, has emerged as an independent company with a decade of industry experience.
“We are committed to delivering excellent quality, fast turnaround times, and outstanding service to the printing industry. Our ultimate goal is to be recognised as the go-to choice for all pre-printing needs,” Jethmalani said.

According to Jethmalani, the major challenges in the digital printing plates business include maintaining quality control, achieving cost efficiency, and keeping up with technological advancements.
Besides the Cron CTCP system, PlateLabs has also installed an online processor TPD-860 from Shangzun and a baking machine.
“This addition ensures a seamless and convenient experience for our clients, providing them with a comprehensive solution for their pre-press needs,” he said.
Jethmalani said that the Cron CTCP installation has been satisfactory.
“We are optimistic about maintaining the same level of efficiency and customer satisfaction in the future,” he concluded, adding, “We have a favourable ROI as we are purchasing CTCP plates from Nippon as well at competitive rates.”
